Yellow-tailed Blacks
These Yellow-tailed Black Cockatoos forage in pine trees along the Great Ocean Road in South Australia.
As we walked along the cliff edge above the Southern Ocean, these four Yellow-tailed Black Cockatoos took to the air below us and flew out over the water, then over a ridge and out of sight.
The male Yellow-tailed Black Cockatoos display their tails when landing. Females have dense black speckling on their yellow tails.
