Sulphur-crested Cockatoos

This Sulphur-crested Cockatoo forages in a eucalyptus tree near the Mardugal billabong in Kakadu National Park. In tropical areas like Kakadu, flocks of these cockatoos are small; the birds are more arboreal, foraging in trees and shrubs.
The Sulphur-crested Cockatoos in Sydney's Royal Botanic Garden are accustomed to people, so we were able to get quite close to photograph them.
